About the Meeting

Public transport system is the lifeline of cities for both intra-state as well as inter-state travel. Most of the transport corporations have been imbibing modern technologies to increase efficiency, cut losses, save costs, add to customer convenience, satisfaction and safety. These include GPS tracking, online reservation, cancellation and refund, modernisation of fleet or integrated traffic management system and so on.

The State Road Transport Corporations and Transport Departments are implementing various digital tools for the States to make public transportation accessible and sustainable for the citizens using online ticketing and reservation systems as well as multi-modal transport integration. Using these tools, state governments can make integrated transportation policies to serve the needs of future cities and growing citizen demands.
